About

This is the story of my time in the Marine Corps (as a gay Marine), told in retrospect, as I remember it (from my mind, writings, old emails, and other random places). I’ll write it as though it’s happening right now & add what’s relevant to my life at this moment, maybe embellish a bit, but everything written here is how it was and how it went. It wasn’t always easy but it was certainly always interesting!! Enjoy…

I am always at the Miramar Gym; maybe I have seen you there!

  2. Let me say this, I have a gazillion reasons why I could talk trash, but I truly believe that we have to be open to everyone even if we don’t agree. I appreciate your service and I think this is a well written blog. It’s actually entertaining and I certain many will infer what they will from that, I don’t really care.

Either way, don’t let the hate mail stop you. The idea of Gay and Marine….well you know how it is! :)

    I somehow don’t believe that you’re a real Marine.
This blog so far sounds like a detailed romp through your sex life and little to do with what we go through in the Corps. I’m not crying victim here – But your blog just don’t read like reality!

Oh I stood on that parade deck for several hours in the July heat and got my EGA!! The blog is really more so about my personal life and not so much what goes on behind the gates of my squadron. ERR!

Hey bud. I’m not going to question your integrity (besides, you seem to describe the Miramar barracks accurately enough), but I’d like to get in contact with you. I think I’m in a solid position to get some word out about DADT. Most of the voices you see on the news these days tend to be officers from other services, so I think it’s very important to compare notes and get your perspective. I swear I’m not a perv or anything – but I really think it’s important that I be able to hear from you. Please hit me back brother

I think its awesome to know that there are other gay Marines out there. I served my 5 years in Yuma and felt like I was the only one in the Corps. Keep the stories coming brother!
